Unashamedly stolen idea from another forum, renamed slightly though!
Rules are simple – your stake consists of whatever you can see out of your window….
I’ll start the betting with a cub 50 frame and a compost bin

I slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening; I drank and danced all night with doubt and found her a virgin in the morning.

August 28, 2004 at 11:02 am #20461imperialdataKeymasterI’ll see that with a VW van, 2 tons of building sand and 800 reclaimed bricks. Oh and a driveway that looks like the surface of the moon.
Avoiding the obvious answer, what the hell is an ammonia compressor?

See if you can guess LOL [][][]
I’ll raise you 1/2 ton of grit sand complete with bag, and a half block paved patio, and the “when are you going to get that finished” that seems to be constantly ringing in my ears!

August 28, 2004 at 6:36 pm #20463imperialdataKeymasterWell I guess it’s a refrigerating compressor but (resisting yet another time consuming Google search) is it just more efficient or does it have any other uses?
And have you built a bike that runs on one yet? Or maybe even a block paver splitter?
August 28, 2004 at 6:46 pm #20464GSX RatParticipantBlock paver splitter – stihl saws easier!, cant get a bike to run on it either…
Twin stage refrigeration system, 7 low stage comps pump from -0.3 bar atmospheric (evap -40 degrees) up to 2 bar (evaporate -10 degrees). Second stage (9 of) pumps to approx 10 bar, depending on outside temp to condense gas back to liquid. Each comp is driven by a 180kw motor, usually about 5 to 7 running at any one time.

September 13, 2004 at 8:11 pm #20467GixParticipantWhat looks like a bomb site after the horrendous winds we have experienced the last 24 hours. Broken fence panels, outdoor kids toys flung around the garden, every body elses rubbish that they cant be bothered to put in bins, which has blown through where fence panels should be!!!! Geez, I hate this country’s weather!
