    Sorry to hear that this legend in British biking has just passed away aged 103 years. Rode down the last part of the Mall when he was 100 to cllect his telegram from the Queen.

    Didn’t realise how many bike trophies he had won. He designed and built a lot of bikes too and reckoned his brothers built aeroplanes.

    I read that his brothers used to tie him to the wings of the planes too! They were plane building at the same time as the Wright brothers so it was very experimental stuff. RIP Len.
