February 5, 2013 at 4:42 pm #64541HippoDronesParticipantGot told the reg for my ZX6R today so have sorted the insurance out…. added it to my current policy I’m using for the V7 and RXS and it only bumped it up by £230 for fully comp!

That isn’t bad, who was it with?
February 15, 2013 at 5:07 pm #64543HippoDronesParticipantreally easy to add bikes to the policy and seem good value. Have seen folk complain about them but when I read into it it was because they didn’t read small print or were complaining that they got admin fees when they bounced DD payments so IMO brought the troubles on themselves.

Know what you mean. I may well give them a call when the time comes. Thumper has just done an excellent deal with Bennetts for his fleet…less than £200 for the GS, two TDRs and his 125

Good luck and enjoy!!
March 2, 2013 at 6:02 pm #64547HippoDronesParticipantCollected the bike today
It is quite a machine, I really think I’ll enjoy this far more than I did the Ducati and even running in I can hit 85 so shouldn’t be too painful!
It will take a while to get used to the riding position as it is quite sporty… even more so than the Ducati was but it is far comfier (although my ankle is still fubar so am struggling a lil on the right side). The engine is crisp and responsive, the brakes are improving now they are beginning to bed in. Hopefully tomoz’s spin will help me acclimatise to the riding position a bit and also get the pads fully bedded in and tyres scrubbed.
It will rev to 16k rpm when run in, its gonna be bonkers!

March 2, 2013 at 11:58 pm #64549imperialdataKeymasterLooks a real stunner Pete.
Did you pay extra for the two elves (top photo – the one on the tank and the one on the fairing)?
March 3, 2013 at 8:59 am #64550HippoDronesParticipanthaha they were buy one get one free!
The zorst will have to stay for a while at least…. totally broke and about to be unemployed lol :S
March 3, 2013 at 9:02 am #64551ses310ModeratorVery very nice! I think a trip up this way is in order so we can all have a go! Once it’s run in though
March 3, 2013 at 4:21 pm #64552HippoDronesParticipantfor sure
March 3, 2013 at 7:53 pm #64553RadarModeratorLooks great Pete, hope that your ride today went well.
I must congratulate you on finding a bike with an exhaust that is even uglier than the one fitted to my FZ1S, dubbed the ‘Dalek’s Todger’ by forum member Gordy.
Looking forward to following your progress with the new stead and o course, get yourself up to middle earth on the old girl!
