Looks fantastic Pete and well the hell does your Dad live!?
November 11, 2012 at 9:00 am #64525HippoDronesParticipanthaha, he lives in a small village surrounded by farms who have made a right mess of the road in.
November 11, 2012 at 9:54 am #64526ChampsParticipantYou got a bit of cleaning to do there
November 11, 2012 at 11:36 am #64527imperialdataKeymasterEek, all that mud in those cooling fins. Might be worth you buying your own pressure washer.
Nice looking bike though Pete, think you’ll have some fun on that.
November 12, 2012 at 6:13 pm #64528ses310ModeratorWhat a fab looking bike! Even filthy it looks good
November 12, 2012 at 6:40 pm #64529HippoDronesParticipantCheers peeps, yup think I need my own jet wash lol
Have ridden about 350 miles now, 275 to get done by Thursday for its first service.

So is it; ‘God I love this bike!’ or ‘What have I done?!’
November 12, 2012 at 9:57 pm #64531HippoDronesParticipantits awesome mate, it is no fire breathing bhp monster but it is cracking to ride, as said previously the suspension it not great and neither are the brakes but even in a day riding in the rain I was smiling throughout the majority of it although my Rukka textiles, Daytona boots and Held gloves really help. I have discovered that I do not have a Shoei shaped head tho so that is gonna have to get replaced at some point… I hated the lid anyway but they are too expensive to replace unless they are damaged.

Glad you like it so much, it sounds like it will be broadly similar in feel to Thumpers 2010 Bonnie I enjoyed riding last year.
I think this post by Thumper under his original user name sums how a theoretically less capable bike can be a real hoot

Incidentally I have never liked the couple of Shoei lids that I have tried on over the years.
My Shark is 5 years old now and could do with being replaced really
November 12, 2012 at 10:35 pm #64533HippoDronesParticipantI got a surprise email from InMoto earlier telling me my 636 will be arriving soon lol, I hope they will not be keeping it in the show room where punters can scratch it with careless zips etc. Does mean I can go see it tho.
March is a long long way away! haha
November 13, 2012 at 10:37 am #64534imperialdataKeymasterDidn’t realise it would be delivered in March. Makes sense with all the crappy weather for the next few months though. At least you’ve got the Guzzi as your winter hack! Glad you’re enjoying it.

Winter hack??? It’s not a ZX9R you know!!
November 14, 2012 at 7:04 pm #64536HippoDronesParticipantbike is booked in for its service tomoz, will be a bit under miles as supposed to be 625miles for the first one, gets it out the way tho… I may do an interim oil change in a month or so anyhows.
It is such a fun bike to ride, I was throwing it about today and had a right giggle with the funshine out. I hope the weather is like today has been on Friday and Saturday when I ride up to see you lot!
November 18, 2012 at 1:10 am #64537RadarModeratorThat V7 islovely…review to follow
December 5, 2012 at 9:30 pm #64538HippoDronesParticipantI truly am loving the V7, it is such a delight to ride, I went out on it today to go have a look at my ZX636R which has now been delivered to the dealership and even in the chilly brrr of winter my enjoyment is still verging on obsessive, I just don’t want to put it away after riding it. If this love affair continues it is def a lifetime bike I’ve even cleaned it AGAIN so I must like it!
Anyhows, my ZX6R pics:
It looks lovely in the flesh, I really am gonna struggle with waiting until March to be able to play on it!
Oh, had my new lid delivered yesterday too:
