October 28, 2012 at 10:17 am #64514ses310ModeratorNice couple of bikes there! That Guzzi looks amazing!
Reckon you’ll have lots of fun between them in different waysOctober 28, 2012 at 10:20 am #64515imperialdataKeymasterWow, Pete, you don’t mess about do you? The ZX6 looks stunning and no doubt will be a completely different ride to the Guzzi. A great pair for ‘the fleet’.
Off to look at the specs of the Guzzi V7 now…
October 28, 2012 at 11:08 am #64516RadarModeratorTwo superb choices there Pete, I am particularly interested in the V7 as this is a bike I have been strongly considering for some time now!
Look forward to reading how you get on with them both.
The zorst on the 636 might even be worse than the horror on my FZ1!
October 28, 2012 at 3:17 pm #64517HippoDronesParticipantI shall review them on here to let you know what I think of them as and when I get delivery
Will probs ride up on the V7 when we all meet up so you can have a spin on it then if you like mate.

November 10, 2012 at 6:20 pm #64523HippoDronesParticipantI picked up the V7 today
I am so glad I bit the bullet and ordered one blind, it is even better looking in the flesh than it is in the photos I’d seen.
Once I got it home and was kitted up I went out to start running it in.
The ride is pretty comfy although the suspension is a lot cruder than all my previous bikes of recent years but it is plenty good enough for the sort of bike it is. The saddle is really low, which I love after trying to swing my leg over the Ducati. When you thumb the starter the bike oscilates from side to side initially then just purrs, it seems really quiet on tickover but when on the move it sounds lovely. The gear change on it is lovely compared with the Ducati too, I found myself clutchless changing which I kept telling myself off for.
The road to my Dad’s was really bad and full of mud so in less than 15miles the bike looked worse than my KTM200 ever did lol
I rode over to Bury Hill for a quick pit stop (needed a wee) and then went down to Littlehampton and back up the twisty way via a jet wash (which has caused one of the indicators to stop working d’oh!)
