Went to go for rideout today but bike died on us, it was fuel starvation[!] Even though we have a full tank of fuel the pump wouldnt kick in until Dave put it on reserve, then it went ok, but only discovered that after we’d taken fuel tank off…..Yup I got oily hands again![]

I watched a video of a bloke changing and cleaning his engine and he had to take the tank off. (gs500e)
Anyway there’s a little tap on the insude that the fule hose goes into, and it looked looked like if the bike took a knock this could get jammed shut.
Could have been that maybe? and taking the tank off sorted it out again?July 23, 2006 at 7:42 pm #49956barmy_carmyParticipantWill investigate lol!
