    Apparently, at least two of the latest high-revving Japanese 1000cc sports bikes can do over 100mph in FIRST gear !

    The Kawasaki ZX10R and the YAMAHA R1 for 2004 manage it, they say.

    Wow, that’s some going. Imagine overtaking a car or bike that’s doing 90MPH and telling them later you were in first gear! They wouldn’t believe you.

    My elderly CB250RS is still 10 mph short of that with all the gears used!!
