InactiveLooking for a 125cc bike, I have found a Derbi GPR125 on eBay that is cheap (at the moment), looks to be in good condition and very local.
Just wondering if these are a good buy for a first bike? I’ve never heard of them which is a bit worrying!

ParticipantYeah I have heard of ’em. 2 stroke so a bit higher maintainance than a four stroke but as with anything if its looked after and well maintained its fine, not heard of any specific problems with the derbi’s (no more than other highly tuned 2 strokes anyway) but someone may come along and say they have, looks a nice bike tho. No harm in going to have a look. [

InactiveCheers Gix. I assume it is suitable as a learner bike as regards power, engine capacity etc?

ParticipantNo dont assume anything, unless it states Learner Legal dont take for granted that it is, my aprilia rs125 wasnt. Best thing would be to ask the seller, if it makes more than ?14.2bhp? it wont be legal to ride on provisional and CBT.
