Just back from a 5 day / 4 night trip to the Somme area.
Very sobering place to visit but the roads and weather were great.

You were definitely there at the right time. For those who didn’t know, it’s the 70th anniversary tomorrow of the D-Day landings. There really are not many veterans around now, those who are left are in their eighties or higher, many unable to attend the ceremonies.
