Well good luck with your new baby, let us know how you get on with her, just a little running in period and then the big grins will start!

Well as far as touring on a GSXR1000 goes, as you have tried one you will realise its not exactly a small bike like an R1 feels. I was very suprised last year to read a report from possibly from The Sun classing it as tourer of the year! To date I have travelled a lowly 320 miles max in one day/ 720 in 3 days and found my K7 excellent and without any cramps, and regularly get low 50’s MPG.

Back in 1981 my next door neighbour had a fold up 50cc bike, it was badged as a Britax but I would have thought it was actually manufactured in Italy and imported/sold by the seatbelt manufacturer (dont they now make kids buggys?) it was kept in a holdall, and you could carry it a short distance – he used it as transport when out and about on his narrow boat. I did try it out and it had extremely sensative steering due to the small diameter wheels.

Welcome aboard Beckers, what else have you owned over the years? What do you think of the K7 TT, you may have noticed I have had mine since new.

Rattle on, not half, her first “accident” was reversing into her moms car at <1 mph, unfortunately I viewed another of her videos, she could talk the hind leg off a donkey!

We must do a proper ride out in 2011!

Yes we will have to sort out a group meeting over at our place (near Newtown Powys) tea/coffee and cake, followed by a group ride out (there are plenty of choices of scenic/nice biking road loops of 60-150 miles) and then back for a barbecue! History shows good summers follow bad winters so fingers crossed!! We could even tie it in with overnight camping and having said that we have had a thought! We would like to put forward the offer of a Forum meet in say May/June staying over camping on a Saturday night, those who can to bring their own tents etc and those who havn’t just grab a sleeping bag off a friend and we can supply a 12 man tent, we have room for bikes and tents, still going with the ride out and barbecue idea too! Donations and raffle going towards Wales Air Ambulance. We will sort out our diary in the Spring and
    add a post accordingly.
