Phoned Jason this evening, he wont be seen at his local (Telford) Hospital until Wednesday. Have passed on The Forums regards, he doesn’t expect to be on 2 wheels again this year, once his bike is back he’ll review his options, knowing he has time on his hands with about 6 weeks off work,he realises that his insurance will no doubt wish to write it off.

Crisis indeed, looks too big to fit on the slabs in front of the house and no way will you get it up the curb! Bet you didn’t way that element up, so best hand it over to me. No to be honest I’m jealous, I’ve got my daughters chap looking out for something with a bit of poke (350Z or similar) he’s a used car dealer, but thats way out of my league. I’m too old for a mid-life crisis, I think mines possibly a last ditch attempt at regaining a bit of my youthful waywardness. ID that sure is a nice motor. What happened to the Smart Car?

Thanks for the post Radar, I’ve actually flown solo at Cosford, but minus an engine! Back in 1971 and still at school (only just) I spent 2 weeks there with the schools RAF Cadets, 39 flights of training and 3 solo flights later I got my Glider Pilots Certificate. That first solo flight was one of those remember for all time moments! I keep returning to the place, just to relive the buzz of the moment.

There used to be a woman biker in our town who rode about with her Jack Russell in a newspaper boys/girls round bag.

Quite a few years back I saw a very sad article from Australia, in which it reported the death of a nomadic biker and his CAT. They had both been killed in a road accident, what caught my attention to it was the photo, the cat sat on carpet fixed to the tank of the guys Harley just clinging on withs its claws not attached by other means, the thing that got me was it was wearing a leather flying helmet and was grinning like the proverbial Cheshire Cat!

Yes I rode a 1200 that my brother had, unbelievable torque and a “proper” riding position.

Not this year. Thinking back, I guess the last trip over was ’81.

She sure does look very clean and tidy, guessing mileage is pretty low. I should move the tax disc to the left hand side though and forward of the riders footpeg, you dont want some funny a*sed co**er finding a reason to have a go.
