Cheers guys,
I can get through quite easily at the mo by doing as you say , turn one way , get the one end through then turn the other , I just get the impression that Renthals are slightly wider so i’ll have to take the old measuring tape to them. Widening the gateway isn’t my first choice cos the walls have just been newly built in quite expensive stone ( before I decided to buy a bike) and I think my Mrs would kill me for ruining her new landscaped back garden.

nutty200ParticipantMany Thanks for all the replies guys , went to the coast on Sunday for my first proper ride and it was fantastic , me and the wife would have stayed out all night given the chance.
The Bandit was a bit more sedate than my old bike ( CBR 600 ) but great fun none the less , having no fairing is an experience especially when the wind picked up a bit later on in the day.
Been enjoying the pics and posts on here and have to say what a fantastic web site this is.
Happy biking to one and all.
nutty200ParticipantThanks ghixer ,
I thought I was reasonably computer literate but I bow to your superior knowledge , i’m hoping to style her up a bit and then get good pic on here ( the bike I mean , not my Mrs)
nutty200Participantnutty200Participanti give up
nutty200Participantdidn’t work that time i’ll try just posting the URL.

nutty200ParticipantMany Thanks Hooligan ,
I’ll take a chance I think and get something smaller , I found a web site that offers a plate that they say” looks as legal as possible” with regard to the letter size and font type so i’ll try that. £40 isn’t as bad as I thought and i’ll obviously keep the original should I get pulled.
nutty200ParticipantMany Thanks guys I feel welcome already, would be delighted to post a pic of my pride and joy if someone can tell me how. heeding your good advice on plate size and will try and get something with a smaller plate but same size numbers.
