Awesome review there! So of all the bikes you have been testing lately, it sounds as if the Explorer is in 1st place. So when you buying one and when can I have a go?
I’ve got a test ride on an MT-09 Tracer lined up for next weekend – I’ll let you know how that goes before finalising my next bike…
Then it’ll be getting rid of the Jag and seeing whether I’ve still got a job at Christmas! But if I do get the Explorer you’re very welcome to have a go, Ses!

Two mates have subsequently bought them and both are really enjoying their new machines.
I also tried the standard MT-09, but I think the Tracer would suit you much more:

But if Skellerns (Cheltenham) let me have it for the agreed time (9.30-12 0) I’ll be sure to find some badly-maintained Forest lanes to scratch around. The Tracer would be substantially cheaper than the TEX, but will it have that elusive grin factor??? We’ll see….
This Wednesday Bikemeet is at Five Mile House, Duntisbourne Abbots, GL7 7JR, but I’ve got a dentist appointment straight after work so will probably miss it. Thursday is at Seaborne Leisure, Kempsey, WR5 3JL: I’ll probably go for that if the rain isn’t too bad. Last Weds was excellent at the Croft Farm Watermeadow…

It was indeed good meeting up and making new friends – these evenings are well worth the effort. Though if anyone has an excuse not to it must be Katana with that heroic (mad!) commute…..
Radar, I found the egg sarnie on the verge at the Ledbury by-pass on Friday: after removing the gravel it went down a treat!

Not much to aim at through Ballaugh Bridge…Radar, if you get there early no problem – sometimes I leave at 8-8.30pm depending on weather/light/cold/etc…..
At one point we rode over a 10p coin and I could tell it was ‘heads’….

Thanks for the extra pictures , I forgot that you and Andy made your own way back to Peel. Didn’t you have some fun on part of the mountain course?
Yeah, Thumper and I ended up almost at the start of the Mountain on the race course , which as you know was one-way for the duration – had to wait for a gap: tricky when some of them were going at 250mph (at least!)…. Well, seemed like it to me……
No rain at the venue – just a couple of minutes watering en route…..
Nice little Jap engined 3-wheeler….
With flying helmet, etc.
Quite a good turnout given the poor (and inaccurate!) weather forecast…
And those who missed it left the best hog-roast yet to us hardy fools!

Not as good a selection of bikes this time, but we did get visited by a pack of C90 riders!Superb weather tonight at Lower Lode…. Lodes of bikes, too!!
