Not sure whther this one has been done, I’ve looked up to page 4 and couldn’t see it, anyway here goes.
Your standing in a room with 2 doors, 1 door leads to freedom and the other to certain death. In front of each door there is standing a guard, you know that 1 guard will tell you the truth and the other guard will tell you a lie, you can only ask 1 question.
What question would you ask to be sure of going through the correct door?
BTW The correct door would be the one to freedom and both gurds do not want you to get to freedom………
February 22, 2006 at 11:01 pm #43345Born2BMildParticipantAsk one gaurd the question, “If I asked the other guard, which dooris safe, which one would one point to ?” Take the door opposite door to the one indicated. Whoever you ask will point to the wrong door.

February 25, 2006 at 11:47 pm #43349Born2BMildParticipantSome years ago, as the year was ending, a pilot came up with the idea of celebrating the New Year by towing a banner displaying the year behind his aeroplane.
Keen to get to the New Year’s Eve festivities he quickly painted the banner and left it over night to dry. The following day he attached the banner to the plane, but when he took off and the banner unfurled he noticed that he had actually hung the banner upside down. However, it wasn’t a problem as the banner still read the correct year.
Question
What year was the banner painted?
