The Thundercat forum do some superb weekend meets where the membership gathers over a weekend, book into local B&B’s/campsites and then social and check out the best roads the area has to offer, led by organisers from the local area. The Bishop Castle runs that I have reported on are good examples of this.

We could do something based in mid Wales say and have a couple of evening socials. There are still quite a few of us active on here, some only rarely now, but it woul be good to gather the forces in one place for a couple of days

We could get ID, Ses, Thumper, Champs, TT07, Pete247, Gix and others like Ellisimo, Robertcains, Swindon Andy etc etc out. Partners welcome…could be really good fun.

Sounds good – there might be a fully-fledged Forest branch by then to swell the numbers…. Anywhere in Wales is good for us.

I had toyed with the idea of Cumbria too, but the place is not bike friendly by reputation

Got to do Hardknott/Wrynose Passes though. We rent a cottage on Ullswater now and again, but an off-road bike is necessary to reach it…..

That off road is not merely a want, it is clearly essential!!

Hmmm…rumbled… Got a new mate (ex-motocrosser) who’s looking to get back to biking – going cold turkey after 6 months off. He’s looking out for one for me…
