Right hand front Brake Caliper for 1985 GSX750SE Katana (Pop-up headlight)
As usual with an old bike 1 “simple” job has escalated.
Front brakes on my Kat were terrible so decided to change the pads and bleed them.
Tried to bleed them and wrung off right hand bleed nipple in caliper – doh!
Drilled out nipple and went too deep – doh!
Also found out that piston has seized and a previous owner has attacked with a chisel!
So to my point has anyone got a right hand front calliper for a pop-up? Either that or does anyone know if any other more modern (4 pot)calipers will fit?
here are all the dimensions
The distance between the mounting holes are the most important to me as I don’t want to have to make up an adaptor bracket if i can avoid it.
Thanks

Good luck with the hunt.
Will the front end of a later Suzuki fit? Like a GSF600 or GSXR600?

Radar the gsxr6 brakes have mounting points alot further apart from what Kat posted above, the above look more like the rear on the srad than the front, both are tokico tho. May have more luck with a gsf4 or 6, the 4 caliper may be harder to obtain tho cos was not official import to this country.June 28, 2007 at 8:11 pm #53106RadarModeratorquote:

DK might have found one – got to ring him tomorrow
Gix – I wondered about the GSF4 and 6 – but they both don’t fit – bugger
