    Diversions are a good steady bike, but why do you need it? Winter hack?

    Yes. Thinking about something cheap to run and insure, so I wont’ have to ride the gsxr all winter.

    Sorry mate, bit late reading this but I think they are good solid bikes with decent reliability. Did you buy it?

    Not yet, ID. The bidding ended with out any bids. Thinking of contacting the guy to see if he wants to sell privately though.

    What about something like an ER5? Cheap and cheerful with dirt cheap parts, and cheap insurance (mine is £150 for the year with no no claims and a fresh licence :)
