March 31, 2006 at 12:12 am #18348KezzrParticipantRight then, Isle of Man 2003 TT.Went for a lap with my mate Keith and the girls, nice an steady till we started up the mountain, hit 140ish up the mountain mile still accellerating on the ZX11 before I got a few thumps in the back,I think it means slow down, so steady eddy back to the grandstand. Parked up and the Ladies said why don’t you two go for a lap on your own. We were gone in 10secs maybe less, steady where we needed to and quicker on the fast bits, so, hit the mountain again (its my favorit bit)swapped places with my mate on his Busa a few times till we hit Kates Cottage (its downhill from here)Passed the busa on the drop to Creg ny Baa, its a bit of a roller coaster and the front wheel leaves the ground when you cant open the throttle any more, slow down to about 40mph for the right hander at the Creg then balls out allmost redline in top, didn’t look at the speedo, didn’t blink. Top speed is 170plus on a ZX11, best of all my mate didn’t get past me on the Busa. I was still buzzin hours later and it was all legal cos theres no speed limit in the Isle of Man.Gonna do it all again soon, what a ride.

Fantastic experience Kezzr! I went to the Manx in 1987 and watched the racing from Creg ny Baa. Superb, must go back one day…

Would be great to go again I had a wild time in 1987 and I was only riding a Suzuki GS550E at the time!

April 5, 2006 at 10:23 am #18357GSF K1ParticipantDigger.. when did you join the snot-squad???
Just got new black stuff on my ninja.. so I wont have to be quite so cautious
July 12, 2011 at 10:24 pm #18358RadarModeratorStill have not done more than 145mph, but I have done that on R1 and ZX9R too! It would seem I have a built in speed limiter!
July 13, 2011 at 10:33 am #18359TT07ParticipantObviously 70 in a 70 [] (plus a bit for speedo error [:p])… well the satnav always shows 67 at indicated 70
July 13, 2011 at 9:07 pm #18360ChampsParticipantmy gps read 160mph last time we were in Germany, just before that sodding lorry pulled out! Why don’t they look more than half a mile behind them before pulling out.
My brakes worked though so thats good.
July 16, 2011 at 11:03 am #18361BigBenParticipant140mph on the M1 on my ex ZX10R C2H then i crashed the sodding thing. another one is still on the wishlist and we can see what we can do then
