Sure there are some self parking systems on the market already, notably Lexus and Ford, anyway this caught mt eye on the BBC today:

If parking a car is not your strong point, technology could soon be coming to your assistance. A number of manufacturers are looking to develop a car that can park itself.

BBC Click’s Marc Cieslak puts one to the test – a car that at the swipe of a smartphone screen will do all the work for you.

Interesting – assisting those that can’t park.

I would rather assist them drive properly first. Motorcycle proximity warning buzzers would be high on my list. I would be prepared to fit a sender.

Or a boxing glove to the face if touching a cell phone

How long before BMW’s don’t need a driver to not signal and change lanes without looking?

It’s Audis now. Audi drivers have taken over from BMW drivers for tailgating and not indicatiing. The theory is that BMW drivers these days are more like proper drivers.
