July 14, 2007 at 5:15 pm #53232RadarModeratorNot 36º and that’s for sure. Actually today has seen a respite from near constant rain and Katana popped in for a cuppa on his GSX750. I have been stuck in the garden all day with my chainsaw, so no riding for me today. The rain returns tomorrow…SB you are a lucky SoB!!!

July 21, 2007 at 1:40 pm #53237spanish bikerParticipantHi we get the young scooter knobs here, hims and hers, flip flops/sandles, shorts or short skirt, vest or bare, and a crash hat on the elbow it doesnt bear thinking about if they came off or got whipped off what a bloody mess.
July 21, 2007 at 10:24 pm #53238dazParticipantmust be nice to have so much bikeing weather sb. this must be our worst summer ever. only fun ive had after donnington was a bit of a chase from blairs armed patrol when i buzzed em at 120 so i changed leathers nd helmet nd went back out till it rained again & again & again []…daz
July 22, 2007 at 4:18 pm #53239GSF K1ParticipantHi SB.. I’ve seen all that too, I lived in Mallorca for a few years, all the kids ran around on piped scooters with no protection… the laws shocking as they’re legal if the helmet is “worn”, even on the arm or plonked on their head like a hat.
July 22, 2007 at 7:22 pm #53240spanish bikerParticipantinland where i am they all know each other which doesnt help law enforcment, at the local school you see the mothers bring kids on the scooters stood infront of them, some times two, none wearing any gear and not a lot of clothes, aint right somehow![]
July 22, 2007 at 8:04 pm #53241RadarModeratorLike Daz saisd we had a very poor summer, than God I decided to do the French trip/ Rode through 6~8″ of water today while out with Thumper, Gix and few others! Loads of roads blocked due to flooding.
Love the idea of buzzing Mr Blair on the Mille!

it must be hell of a job to keep the bikes clean!!? can you ride in wet suit and flippers??[]July 23, 2007 at 9:42 pm #53243GixParticipantYep its a bad summer, never in all the years I have lived here, have I seen floods like this. The square (junction by fire station)in Polesworth often floods due to it being on the same level as the river, and all roads drop onto the junction, but the flood we came across in the pic Radar posted in the toy run thread, thats got a railway embankment between the river and the road, that looding was cos the field and the embankment just couldnt take any more water, and the flood we went through, the river had not only burst its banks, but flooded the fields, and risen high enough to flood the road bridge! I have never seen flooding to this extent round here before, and guess what? It aint over, its raining again!
