Found this site and related video. I found the back to basics explanations made sense, I realise that the setup on my 1000 is far too hard for general running about and I will be having a go at setting it up to the guide lines explained in the video.
Makes a world of difference setting the suspenders up for your own weight and riding style. If you worried about messing them up there are plenty of places that will do it for you for around £50ish
