Two speed cameras on one of Derbyshire’s busiest roads have been taken down because one had been sited in the wrong place.
Police say the camera, on the A6 at Ambergate, was too close to a speed limit sign.
As a result, motorists were not given a chance to slow down.
The camera has been taken down, together with its partner on the other side of the road, until a more appropriate site can be found.
Whilst on the subject of Derbyshire, it was brought to my attention that a forum member was spotted giving Truvelo Scams the finger whilst speeding up to activate them. I must point out that this action is not endorsed by the forum.
