I went down the workshop today to pass a bit of time and get a few bits done until I could go round and sort out a GPZ600R engine rebuild (nearly done) and as I walked past the scrapheap I saw a small capacity motor, so I thought yoink, mine!
Here’s the little beauty.
Now I have taken many engines apart and have found lots of things inside them that you wouldn’t expect to be there, mainly leaves and random crap but today proved that there’s always a bit of excitement somewhere. Upon taking the side casing off some metal and what I believed to be a big leaf fell onto the bench, as I went to pick up the leaf to throw it in the bin, this is actually what I found.
Now I have seen it all :p I released it back into the wild with no injuries which is amazing as I was turning the engine over to get a good purchase to jam it to get the flywheel off.
2 hours after starting this is what’s left.
And lastly here’s a random dog on stilts. Enjoy.
