Max and I had a little ride out on the 5th March on some roads that really do deserve a mention.
First of all there is my old favourite, Woodhead pass, but if you take the A6024 off Woodhead (A628) towards Holmefirth you are in for a real treat. Some excellent tarmac, nice sharp bends, breathtaking views, though the road was a little bumpy in places. Once at Holmefirth we took the A635 over Saddleworth Moor. Some amazing views, some lovely bends, but this is definetly one for the summer….It was freezing up there! But the views…amazing, and come the summer…..you wont drag me away from them Northern roads
