I’ve done it ladies and gentlemen; I have finally become, a fully-fledged biker.
It’s taken me a hell of a long time to get here, and the road I chose was just as twisty as the ones I road today. ‘My Victory Ride’, 7 hours with a few short breaks here and there, of focused riding, experimenting, coming to grips with my machine’s power, attributes, strength, weaknesses, and my own.

Being out on the road today on my own, for the very first time in just over a year, has taught me a few things.

    1) Road users in general, are people. People make mistakes, just like I have and more than likely will do so again.

    2) Other road users are in a rush, and have very little patients with anyone, especially ‘kid’ on a sports bike.

    3) In side with point #2, this means road users usually have very little time to Asses things as they ‘should’. This usually means they’re not focusing at the task at hand.

    4) My training has only just begun.

    5) My motorcycle, ‘Red’, is fast and powerful, and has been proven to outgun many road users today.
It has done things that I did not have the confidence to do on a 125cc machine.

    6) When I asked it to take me to 70mph, and to get me past that lorry and line of cars safely and quickly. It did so without any hesitation or fuss, the ride was solid as a rock.

    7) I am learning that the machine, though heavier, is quite happy to zip about and be flung side to side around ring roads, curves and roundabouts.
    All with minimal fuss.

    8) The help of my excellent instructors,
Shaun, Dean, Adam, Jason, Dave, Martin and Tommy
and the rest of the cast over at Roadrunner motorcycles.
(And of course Bob who took my money ;) lol )
They’re all top-class blokes, down to earth and true bikers.

I most certainly would not have gotten this far if it were not for my Family; they have given me moral support love and care when I felt like giving up.
I love them all dearly, thank you.

And finally, most importantly of all…

My dear friends here on the forums, you all know who you are, and let me tell you all that I have nothing but the up most respect for you all.
Thank you all for your support, advice, kind words, and friendship, and I offer you all my hand and my heart.

Also, I would like to thank Gix, this amazing woman has helped me in so many ways, so many times, I can’t even begin to count them.
    Thank you Gix.

Thank you for reading this folks, see you all on the road.
