I had a garden shed once,and in it lived the biggest spider I had ever seen.I fed it twice a week on blue bottles and moths,it was enormous.Then one day when I came home from work,someone had left the shed door open and the spider escaped,but little did I know he only took up residence in the garage and made a lovely new web right in the corner by the freezer.There I continued to feed and play with him until he died,I think I might have been a bit rough with him sometimes but he had a good innings.Has anyone got a big spider problem in their shed or garage……PS..Why do spiders make cobwebs on your car wing mirrors all the time.

I hate spiders!.. If I see one thats big enough.. I get my air rifle out!!
To “ERR” is natural.. to really fowl things up needs a politician!!
I also feed pet spiders when I find a decent sized one. I’d say the biggest garden spider that I used to pamper, was Boris. She, (yes all big spiders are female)was 3″ long, leg tip to leg tip.
Digger, the reason why spiders always build webs on your wing mirrors is either:-
1. You drive too slow and they’ve got time to do it while your driving.
2. They like to watch themselves in the mirror, building the web and catching prey.(Bit of competition from the reflection)
3. They are female and like to look in the mirror all the time.
4. If you don’t believe the above, ask ID as he is the……….wait for it…….

cant stand the scary buggers………. also wont kill em tho. My garage is full of them, great big huge ones, at least 2cm big!!

@Scouser – Re: Webmaster joke. I think you have got too much free time on your hands. Go and give digger a hand with his spleen or help to remove the large German lady from his door mirror.
@Digger, you can tell a person’s age from whether they refer to door mirrors as wing mirrors you know. The only wing mirrors left these days are those silly clamp on ones that caravanners use to knock cyclists off their bikes.
I refer to them as wing mirrors!!!! I must be getting old….[:0]
