I haven’t been around much over this winter but I’ve had another project that has been keeping me busy.
Not a bike this time (I think this is the first year I haven’t taken the Katana apart)
It’s a 1984 Pontiac Trans Am, 5 litre V8 – (KnightRiders car)I bought it to compete in a charity event in July called the “Scumball” (Those of you with Sky might have caught it on Men & Motors). Its like the Gumball rally but instead of supercars we drive cars worth less then £1000 from Donnington to the Nurbergring in Germany and back (hopefully)
I’m trying to raise as much money as possible for https://www.perthes.org.uk as my son was a sufferer.
Have a look at my blog which I will keep updated with our progress.
https://pontikak.blogspot.com/
We are looking for company sponsors, as the car is so unusual it sure to get a lot of attention! So if you want your company name on the side get in touch either through here or the blog.
100% of all money donated either by individuals or company sponsors goes to The Perthes Association. All entry fees, fuel and other expenses are coming out of me and my co-drivers pocket.
Sorry for the unbike related post but it is for a good cause.
March 13, 2008 at 10:42 am #54957imperialdataKeymasterNice one Karl, it looks like real fun and a very worthy cause. The Trans-Am actually still looks pretty cool.
I’ll sponsor you a fiver and a tenner if you do it dressed as David Hasselhoff
March 13, 2008 at 9:47 pm #54958RadarModeratorGood luck bud, put me down for a tenner too. I thought you were David Hasselhoff!

March 14, 2008 at 3:10 pm #54960hammyModeratorGood luck katana. I have owned a few yank tanks over the years and they haven’t been the most reliable or best handling but they always turned heads. You’re a brave man!!

I spotted a Peugeot 405 in Scumball 2007 graphics yesterday. I have seen it around Kidderminster a few times now.
