Rolfo delighted with MotoGP debut
Roberto Rolfo has made his MotoGP debut during the test session held last week at Sepang. The Italian rode the Team D’Antin Ducati Desmosedici GP3 and was thrilled by the experience.
“Getting on the bike felt very special. I just tried to enjoy my first contact with the MotoGP,” said Rolfo. “It was an incredible feeling, this bike has nothing in common with last year’s 250.
The Ducati has a huge potential. At the start, it’s a bit hard to tame, but the engine is great, the acceleration and top speed are excellent. You get a lot of sensations on this bike and I still have to get used to the brakes and to the throttle response.”
“This first test allowed me to build up confidence and rack up mileage, and as the laps went by, I began to do some proper work. On the last day of testing, I worked on the bike set-up.”
Rolfo also had to settle in a new team, but he’s already satisfied with his new crew: “With the d’Antin staff, we started a great relationship. I felt comfortable with them from the very beginning. It’s the same with the Dunlop technicians, we already work well together.”
Team manager Luis d’Antin was pleased with this first testing session, as his new rider seemed to fit in quickly.
“I was positively surprised by Roberto’s technical skills and for the sheer delight he took in riding the Ducati for the first time,” said the Spaniard.
“All the team members and the Dunlop staff will have to work hard, but if we continue like this there will be plenty of things to be satisfied about.”

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, Vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, what a ride!
