just read this in mcn
so there we are hundreds of bikers enjoying a drink and a chat at the Bassetts pole bike meet on a fine summer evening,
no fights, muggings or anti-social behaviour, when at around 8.30pm,the police to block all public entrances to the public house and mcdonalads car park, and stop any one going about their lawful business of buying a drink or something to eat.
When asked why,a copper replied “wE have, because we can,it’s a saftey issue.”
there was only one wheelie, and a few loud-ish exhuaust, but by riders that were actually going home at the time.August 2, 2006 at 2:36 pm #50445LeviathanRanParticipantyou have to be joking?
