Shamelessly pilfered from another forum . . . . . . .
It would appear that Derbyshire County Council would like to put parking charges in place in Matlock Bath. You may or may not go to the Bath but no doubt have heard it to be a “Mecca” especially on a Sunday. If you don’t agree with another Tax being levied then add your name to the petition. Apparently the only people that really want this is the Council and a few Nimbys. The local shop keepers / cafe owners are against it as it will hit their trade. Please pass on to your biking buddies (or anyone that does not want to pay to park in Matlock)
