As my bike doesn’t have a centre stand, I’m thinking of getting a paddock stand. Are they suitable if for adjusting chains and where do they brace against when supporting the bike?

you’d need to find the right thread for your bike you can try different sized bolts to get the right thread pitch if they dont make specific bobbins for your cbrlife sucks get used to it

very good and you get the best of both (or even 3) worlds- bobbin rear, cup rear, spike front
Donut – I mean DONATE!
January 15, 2006 at 4:49 pm #42221Born2BMildParticipantHad a quick look at the bike and I don’t think its suitable for bobbins, mate, as there’s no holes drilled to take them. Not a “proper bike”, I supposed[]. Are the swing arm supportable ones generic or will the width betweem the swing arms have to be taken into account?

life sucks get used to it
January 15, 2006 at 4:52 pm #42223Born2BMildParticipantSeems like the ideal solution, Katana. I’d be able to use bobbins if I get around to drilling some holes for them.

January 15, 2006 at 5:34 pm #42228GSF K1ParticipantI got a micron paddock stand with my can.. plenty of adjustment to suit various sizes and its really stable on it.. its not too hard to get the bike on/off once you get the hang of it. But for the first few times make sure you’ve got a spare hand to stabilize your bike if it starts going the wrong way!!
