I have been invited by one of the Scottish members of the KTM forum to come out for a ride today. We are meeting up just off junction 5 of the M8
Anyways after the rather windy and wet weather yesterday I am hoping todays weather will be a little calmer. Certainly out the window it looks not too bad at the moment
Got my camelback filled, a flask of coffee and a packed lunch. Bikes been checked over and bits tightened so hopefully am all ready.
Be leaving once I’ve finished me coffee and hope to get the chance to take some pics. Will write up the ride later if I have the energy!

March 15, 2009 at 4:42 pm #57762imperialdataKeymasterGood luck Pete, hope you stay on!
March 15, 2009 at 9:34 pm #57763HippoDronesParticipanthahaha, I think I fell off more than everyone else out today combined! :$
Had a fantastic day, I ache all over now tho. Am currently uploading vids to photobucket, will post them up once thats done. Didn’t get many pics unfortunately as my cameraphone was in the waterproof pocket on my camelback.
I think I have learned a hell of a lot today, some by listening to the advice from the guys I went with, others by just gritting my teeth and giving it a go. One of the other chaps was videoing quite a bit so hopefully will have some links to his youtube at somepoint too, including my first attempt at hopping over a fallen tree…. unsuccessfully! :$ lol
I didn’t do all the climbs etc that the others did, just the ones on the route rather than at play spots. Proper nutters and incredably fit they were!

The weather was perfect, not too hot or cold, no rain and not too much wind either
I got to my camera just too late, Reuben had decided this lil bit of water was quite shallow…. It wasn’t!
This lil spot was just like a big kids playground with steep climbs and various jumps etc, (see vid 3)The vids:
Donny showing how it should be done
Jamie showing that 125’s can cut the mustard too (I didn’t attempt this climb)March 15, 2009 at 9:53 pm #57765HippoDronesParticipantoh, soz bout the sideways vids, couldn’t work out how to turn them round! :$
A view from some traffic lights on my way back to base:

Here is me showing the world how to cross fallen trees :$ lol

March 27, 2009 at 2:08 pm #57772TT07ParticipantExcellent clips, you get a real good feel for the day. Must have been a real kn*kering ride.
March 27, 2009 at 7:05 pm #57773HippoDronesParticipantI was totally shot, by the time I’d loaded up and was driving back to base I could barely change gear lol.
On Sunday I think I’m riding up a 3000′ mountain! Not sure if the current weather up here makes that a sensible idea tho so not sure where I’ll be heading if the clouds come in but will start a new thread for that ride when I get back if I get any pics at all
March 27, 2009 at 7:46 pm #57774RadarModeratorExcellent log crossing there Pete!! Brilliant video footage
