Just started to use this to strip the paint from my engine cases prior to polishing.
I’ve used the “normal” paint stripper before with less then satisfactory results. The Automotive version (about £5 from Halfrauds) is a different story – it bubbles the paint in minutes and doesn’t need half as much elbow grease with the wire wool to get to the stubborn bits in the crevasses. The fact that it stronger the “normal” stuff is born out by the fact that it stings like a b*****d if you get it on your skin and the fumes make your eyes water. So wear gloves, goggles and use in a well ventilated area – it does say that on the tin but who reads instructions?
