NEWS IN BRIEF
The Duke of Gloucester has been banned from driving for months, after being caught speeding for the fourth time in less than 3 years. Unfortunately he’s the President of the AIM….
Meanwhile, Eastbourne’s most senior cop, Chief Inspector Peter Mills, has also been banned for 6 months. He too was disqualified after totting up, having been caught driving at 88mph in a 70mph zone in the early hours of the morning.
The 700 cameras around London are not enough it seems – now the London scamera partnership has introduced digital cameras. It’s claimed that if they are successful, they’ll spread throughout the capital. How their success is measured hasn’t been disclosed….
A driver has clocked up over 30 points in a week after repeatedly passing a speed camera over the 40mph limit. Because it didn’t flash, he thought it wasn’t working. He repeated the journey at least once a day for a week before NIPs started arriving.
A Manchester cab firm has received 12 tickets in a month for jumping red lights – with the speed being logged as 0mph each time. Other taxi firms in the area are having the same problem, but a spokeswoman for the Manchester scamera partnership says the new camera is working correctly.
Elsewhere in Manchester, 450 drivers have had their speeding convictions quashed after they were caught breaking a temporary 30mph limit in July. The correct signs weren’t in place, meaning everyone assumed it was the usual 40mph limit.
A man has been jailed for 4 months, for claiming that a Frenchman was driving his daughter’s car when it was snapped by a gatso. Police went to France to interview the Frenchman.
LOVE IS GIVING SOMEONE THE ABILITY TO DESTROY YOU, THEN TRUSTING THEM NOT TO.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, Vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, what a ride!

They should concentrate on bad drivers because those are the people who cause accidents. I agree with speed cameras near schools etc but not along Dual carriage ways etc, or in the middle of nowhere.I’m sure this country is getting more like a dictatorship country, soon you wont be able to fart without being fined for polluting other peoples air space!
I’m not riding fast, I’m just flying low. and please DONATE to this website
