I bought a Bridgestone BT012 last september done a few hundred miles then put the bike away for winter, must of only done about 1800 miles and I need a new one already.I think its down to the sheer grunt and power put down to the rear of the R1 as I had the same tyre on my ZX9R and got over 3000 miles.

    Take it easy out there

Well I have a habit of getting punctures before I get decent mileage out of tyres……

Now don’t laugh but i got about 23,000 miles out of original tyres fitted to a 250N Superdream that I bought from new. I think the tyres were plastic?

Cant believe whats just happend, got my new tyre fitted and the guy said take it easy until the tyre is scrubbed in,yeh yeh yeh,so off I goes gets into 2nd and a slight bend yes you guessed it new back tyre comes round the side of me to say hello.I was like a bucking bronko, managed to save it and stopped, turned round to look back at garage and the guys were like OMG did you see that.Looked at the tyre and the left hand side was all scraped, banged my shin on the foopeg(now have hickie)i`ll put it down to experience,so easy to loose it.
