It’s tipped to be a giant blockbuster, a huge on-screen hit, a complete adrenaline rush! In other words, a total Triumph. And that’s just the bike!

Following the appearance of the two-wheeled heartthrob, the Speed Triple, in 2000’s incredibly successful, Mission: Impossible 2, the action-movie star and avid motorcycle fan, Tom Cruise, is rumoured to have personally requested that the iconic motorcycle marque supply another heroic machine for the latest instalment in the blockbuster series…the eagerly awaited Mission: Impossible 3, which will hit cinema screens worldwide in early May, 2006.

This retro-styled machine – a one-off, created especially for the movie – was inspired by the brand-new Triumph Scrambler, which has its roots in a bike made famous by another movie icon, Steve McQueen. McQueen was a keen motorcyclist, as is Cruise, and rode the Triumph TR6, the original Scrambler, in the infamous International Six Day Trials, behind the Iron Curtain in 1956. Unquestionably, it’s fitting that both Cruise, the modern-day action hero, and the movie’s character, the unflappable Ethan Hunt, choose to ride a Triumph – the ultimate machine, capable of handling any situation.

Adding a fresh twist to Triumph’s Modern Classics range, the new Scrambler’s unique, 50s-inspired design and retro colourways give a bold look that screams style from the rooftops. Backed by an easy-to-ride feel, sexy sound and a ‘do anything, go anywhere’ attitude, and with its rich heritage, distinctive style and big-screen history, Ethan Hunt’s current choice of bike cements Triumph’s position as the motorcycle marque of choice for the archetypal action adventurer.

You want the impossible? Look no further than Triumph.
