Guy Martin was quickest in practice for the TT Superbikes
Lincolnshire’s Guy Martin was fastest in Thursday’s Superbike practice session for the Isle of Man TT Races.
The Yamaha rider clocked an average lap speed of 126.79mph, just short of the unofficial record set by John McGuinness on Wednesday.Morecambe rider McGuinness was best in the Superstock with a time of 122.40mph with Bruce Anstey of New Zealand topping the Supersport on 121.80.
The sidecar practice session was halted after an accident at Rhencullen.
Dave Molyneux sustained an arm injury in the incident while his partner Craig Hallam was unhurt.
William Dunlop continued his steady progress in the Supersport, clocking an improved 115.60mph in his 600 machine.
