dealer,dont like to mess about with my engine,probably do the brakes but thats it.BTW,the plugs on the R1 are so difficult to get to,you need specialist tools.

Dealer, concur with digger about the spark plugs, when it comes to engine stuff. But we do oil changes, and Me and Dave fitted our new Predator Sports exhaust.

I’ve had my fill of stipping engines.. getting too old for that sh*t now! I enjoy “tinkering” with my bike.. plugs, oil, breaks etc.. anything major and its into the shop.
To “ERR” is natural.. to really fowl things up needs a politician!!
I dont trust anyone to play around with mine, The only time someone else would touch my r1 is if the engine went. I wouldd have it repaird in a work shop but take it ther myself and rifit it myself, Once i got it back. I dont mind getting stuck in coz the feeling of self pride is great when the baby is back on form…

By the way Me and Digger sussed out an easy way to get over the problem of hard to get at plugs. Just crack the plug with the plug spanner till it is loose then cut a piece of garden hose and force it over the plug and unscrew it by hand. Likewise when putting them back in and you will never suffer from crossthreading…
