Can anyone tell me the best way to clean and make your leathers weatherproof and durable.
April 4, 2006 at 10:16 pm #47324GixParticipantLeather isnt waterproof, and I have yet to find a preparation that actually works in weatherproofing them, after all, its essentially a skin and it aint any more waterproof than it was before it was skinned off the cow!
I use my leathers in all weathers, all through winter, and all I do is make sure I clean the salty road crud off, and then I use dubbin to keep them supple. []April 4, 2006 at 11:41 pm #47325katanaParticipantI use this stuff

It does a really good job of softning up the leather and also helps with water proofing. I got it from a local horsey type shop and it cost me 6 quid for a big tub.

April 6, 2006 at 10:05 am #47329The BeastParticipantHow do you apply it Kat? is it solid like vasolene?
I had some horsey stuff once (cant remember the name) but it needed heating up to melt it, was a ball ache but it really worked well.April 6, 2006 at 10:23 am #47330GixParticipantnah mate its like a cream, just apply with a cloth[]
