When I start the bike – whether its from hot or cold. Its over revving. When I am on it and I let go of the throttle it is still over revving and then settling down.
Its going when I start it and am not touching anything. I’m unsure about motorcycles so any help will be appreciated.
Also whether or not its related I dont know. – but when the engine is turned off. Its pinking fast and then slower and slower until eventually stopping.
Once again any help..
Sounds like a service is needed.
The throttle issues: Does the throttle twist grip snap back cleanly to the stop when you release it? If not, the cable could need lubrication or might need adjusting.
The pinking could mean you need a new spark plug
Could be worth cleaning the air filter too
If you know a trustworthy local bike shop this work should not be expensive
I would take it back to the dealer and ask them to have a look as there seems to be a few problems you are having.
Being a 2012 bike should think it is still under warranty.i spoke to the company lexmoto and cos i have bought it second havd the warranty is only for first person who owned the bike any repair i have to pay for thats what they said…
I’m not sure what would be up with the bike but think you should bite the bullet and take it to a bike mechanic you can trust and get it looked at
Poor attitude from thr dealer. Do you any local bike riding mates who could help or point you in the directionof a decent dealer. Incidentally the small independant dealers can often be better than one the big flashly main dealers
