Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vacuum in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, there goes another engine!

His recommendation in the event of a crash on diesel is to take pictures of the area where it occurred because the tarmac made not be of sufficient quality and it may be possible to pursue a claim against the council for an damages that occur. I suppose it worth a try as its much easier to do that than track down who spilt the stuff in the first place.

I had a thought about how to stop the fuel spillages. If the diesel tank was tapered on the inside towards the filler neck, and there was a plastic ball inside the tank; then when the tank was overfilled, the ball would make its way to the filler neck and stop the spillage?
As the fuel is used the ball drops back down?Be seen and be Safe!

June 18, 2005 at 2:56 pm #28520barmy_carmyParticipantI’ve signed it. Sick of tyres slipping on spills, the worst one was on a very sharp bend, and the front wheel started slipping, does make the heart flutter somewhat!

The farmer who leaves mud on the road is responsible.Ring the feds and make a complaint and something should be done.[]
Also(a little off topic) if you ever get a puncture where someone has been hedge-cutting and not cleared up,find out who the land owner is and send them the bill. They are liableVanished………..like a wrinkly ninja
August 14, 2005 at 10:07 pm #28524GSF K1ParticipantI should suppose that the diesel spills will be less likely at the moment.. the stuffs too bloody expensive to throw away!
