Any of you nice gentlemen work for a bearing suppliers or know someone that does? If so if anyone could help me out it’d be pretty nice of you.
I need a tapered roller bearing 30mm inner diameter, 47mm raceway outa diameter. And 13mm height. Or 15mm. I can go up or down on that bit. I’ve scoured forums, and it turns out NSK make one, HOWEVER, nowhere in the UK seems to stock it, and the only place I can get it is the states or china. I’ve emailed America and I can get one for $50 all in. But obviously I don’t want to take the risk of getting ripped off as I can’t really goto the states to kick his ass. Anyone can help please?

February 19, 2013 at 10:58 pm #65420BigBenParticipantAlready tried all the suppliers google had to offer, I can’t deviate on on the 30 or the 47, only on the height as I can shim it out. It’s proving to be a lot of hassle so it better be worth it. Last try will be a guy who might be able to make me one, he works at an engineers firm. We will see.
Cheers for the effort though
February 19, 2013 at 11:03 pm #65421RadarModeratorHave you tried some of the small local engineering companies locally?

To be honest I’ve hear good things about the company from the states having a lead time of only 6 days so I might just bite the bullet and get one imported. As it stands as soon as I have it the whole bike can be rebuilt. Less a few bits and bats like working calipers and discs that aren’t knackered.

That seems steep for a bearing tbh
