HRC have added Qatar to their preseason testing programme for the 2005 MotoGP World Championship, with a three-day session scheduled to begin at the Losail International Circuit on the 1st March.
The circuit was used for the first time by the MotoGP teams at the Marlboro Grand Prix of Qatar last October and, despite the intense heat, the riders gave positive feedback of the circuit, which is said to combine the characteristics of some of the most distinctive corners from major racetracks all around the world.
Along with virtually guaranteed good weather, the track is likely to provide the ideal testing venue ahead of the official tests at Catalunya and Jerez later in March and will supply the factory Honda riders with key set-up data for the 2005 Grand Prix there in October.
Testing begins for the majority of MotoGP teams at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on 22nd January.
