If like me your main holiday is family orientated and doesn’t involve a bike here are a couple of tips I have learnt over the years
1. Leave the bike full of fuel before you go away.
This way at least you can still go for a a blast when you get home two weeks later and are skint!
2. Leave a tenner under the seat
This way you can go for a thrash AND have a ‘light salad’
Wisdom session over…

You can add my top tip at the end if you want. Don’t leave the keys in or the bike thief will have a full tank and a crisp new tenner for his trouble.

I always take the keys with me oddly enough

Thinking of the shortest route back I rode no faster than 30 and coasted downhill, took ages, but with 45 miles into reserve after a previous 30 miles to dry I made it home with still fuel sloshing around the tank!!!!! I was advised to stash £20 under the seat, guess what I still havn’t!!!!
