Hi everyone, my name is Peter, this is my ride, you can see it in the sale section, time for sitting up a bit now, as my elbow is getting fcuked, and the crouching is to much for it now, although we have been to the TT 3 times together, I need to change my riding style.
Its good to be on board.
And yes, the camera date is wrong.[]June 16, 2008 at 10:07 pm #55562maxParticipanthi and welcome bud, nice bike
June 16, 2008 at 10:56 pm #55563imperialdataKeymasterHi and welcome, nice looking bike.
June 16, 2008 at 11:24 pm #55564RadarModeratorWelcome to the site, shame that you have to give up your sports-bike, but luckily loads of different two-wheeled can be had on other types of machines too.

Great topics from across the site
Did you go to the TT this year, it would be great to see some pictures and give your impressions of the whole event. I have only ever been to the Manx GP and that was way back in 1987!
June 16, 2008 at 11:46 pm #55565Ninja ManiaParticipantCheers everyone, thanks for the welcome. Yes we went to this years TT, it was as usual (awesome).
Only complaint I have is the way they rip us bikers off, what with ferry prices, and £2 to park on grass round the mountain section, along with another £2 to sit your erse in a field to watch the racing, £3.50 for a burger, and the same for a pint, its becoming a rip off, so we lodged our complaint along with hundreds more, and Jimmy our personal taxi driver who is an ex racer and now committee member, has assured us, he will bring it up at the next meeting.
Apart from that we had a great time, I just suffered a bit what with my elbow, hence the need for a change of bike.June 17, 2008 at 12:26 pm #55566TT07ParticipantWelcome to TBF, must say the 636 looks immaculate. Obviously your 1st post shows you know how to upload photos, how about giving us a rundown on your biking history?
June 17, 2008 at 1:45 pm #55567Ninja ManiaParticipantHi TT07, coool number, were you there for the centenary celebration? I was and even bought the special ltd edition helmet, shame about the mistake on it tho, maybe thats why its limited ha ha.
The 636 was the 1st brand new bike I have ever owned, it was bought for the purpose of doing the TT trips, I just got fed up being left behind, and my legs are to short for much bigger. Thats a bam.
I never had a full bike licence till 3/4 years ago, just never found the need for it. Bombing about on DT125s, Honda CB200, and the occassional silver dream 250, with or without sidecars, was about my limit.
My brothers had the good bikes and still do, Fireblades, GSX 1000,etc etc and lately the Hyabusa 1300 (thats a weapon and a half, so I was always the passenger, but to feel the adrenalin rush, I bit the bullet and treated myself to the 636, what I call my divorce present to myself.
& off us have done 3 out of the last 4 TT,s. Brilliant fun it is too.June 17, 2008 at 4:36 pm #55568TT07ParticipantNo never did get to the Centenary TT, the bike I had on order arrived mid June, a week and a half too late. Some dealers took receipt on 1st May, if mine had I would have done my best to get over there, 2007 must have been an absolutely fabulous event.

The plate on the bike is actually TT07***(three other letters) and seemed appropriate for me to use it as my members name on this site.I last visited “The Island” in 1981 and thought back then that the ferry prices were somewhat expensive, I understand its shear extortion these days. No doubt if I’d gone this year I would be moaning about the rip off prices like so many others are!
June 17, 2008 at 5:54 pm #55569TT07ParticipantFurther to what you said about a mistake on the Centuary helmet, I wasnt aware of a mistake, what precisely was it?
June 17, 2008 at 6:12 pm #55570Ninja ManiaParticipantIm sure its Kate,s cottage thats in the wrong part of the course, but I will double check with my bro, he bought one too and it was him who spotted it.
Great helmets by the way.June 17, 2008 at 10:05 pm #55571DiggerParticipantWelcome to TBF mate.

June 24, 2008 at 8:40 pm #55574GSF K1ParticipantCracking bike NinjaMania. The C model 636 is by far the best 600 class Ninja they made!!! I also bought mine from new (in black).. should be a posting of it somewhere in the archives.
June 24, 2008 at 9:23 pm #55575Ninja ManiaParticipantHi again GSF K1, thanks for your earlier info btw.
Although I do not know much about bikes to be honest, I was advised to go for the C1H, glad now I did, and its even better with the race can fitted. Was going for the black myself, it looked fab, but when I saw the green, I just had too have it, me being a Celtic man aswell.
Still trying to sell it though, but I wont be dissapointed if it does,nt go, my heart is in my bike and I will miss her if I sell her, but I really need to treat my new wife to a holiday on our 1st anniversary 31st oct halloween day, oh and honeymoon too, because I was way to busy last year at the time.
So to be fare to the gal she really does deserve it. - AuthorPosts
