Can anyboby help, firstly i need to know if i can replace an 1100 engine with a 750 engine. Are the dimensions for mounting and exhaust the same or does it require a lot of modifing ? Secondly does anybody have a GSXR – GSXF 1100 or 1200 banit engine for sale.
I live in spain and bike parts are like rocking horse shit and if you can get them there to bloody expensive.
So if anyone can help i would most grateful.
Thanks
JOHNMarch 30, 2005 at 9:12 pm #23976RadarModeratorWelcome to the forum mate. I know of people fitting 1100 motors in 750 frames, so I would imagine you can do it. I will check out a link to a GSX club and stick it on here.
I work for a Spanish company based in Burgos and travel there from the UK a fair bit. I bet you live in a warm area!

anyway, there are loads of pople still wanting to do a 750 to 1100 conversion, so just advertise a straight swap on a couple of the forums. Shame your in spain, as theres someone in peterborough who does a load of gixer gear but i guess its a bit far to travel!

April 2, 2005 at 6:34 pm #23978imperialdataKeymasterMay be a misprint. Do you really want to go down in engine size?
April 2, 2005 at 6:41 pm #23979gixerlickerParticipantI know of 2 conversions upwards but not down. Think the exhausts are different mountings but you can pack the old ones out easy enough
April 5, 2005 at 6:40 pm #23980jaxjohnParticipantOK boys,I know it’s a bit crazy,(some might say “fu*^$ng mental) to go down in size (cc I mean) but I just want to ride my FIGHTER and I dont think £8000, a shit load of headache and a nagging wife is covered by the 500 miles I’ve managed to get out of this bike since build, and complete rebuild!!!!
As I say, I would prefer a bigger engine if anyone can help me find one?
Heeeeeellllllpppppp!!!!!
