40 in a 30. I’m taking it like a man but it’s hard when the limit should be 40 on this road really. No side roads, not residential, no bends.

Worth an appeal you think?

Got done for 34 in a 30 years ago. Hurts at the time but all the hassle of an appeal would probably hurt more in the long term. If you have the time and the energy or already have a few points then I’d say go for it.

wouldnt fight it but you could go into court rather than take a fixed penalty. Tell them you are admitting guilt but if you can show them evedence photos etc and maybe look into the accident rates on that stretch of that road then you may be able to take a fine without points. tbh tho i’d just take the fixed penalty if thats being offered coz £60 is a lot less than it will be if the court case goes wrong!

Take the hit and pay the spot fine. Just think of all the times we all get away with speeding. Better to get done for 40 in a 30 rather than big numbers somewhere else
