….got a piano here and trying to “teach” mesen to play but its a hopeless cause I think. Can now read music but it takes me forever to work out what its tellin me, deffo cant sight read lol (though I am getting quicker at reading it), and co ordinating my hands is proving to be a bit of a lost cause lol, I thought being ambidextrous would work in my favour but my left hand seems to want to do exactly as my right hand does argggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! anyone got any tips?
It’s probably because your right hand instinctively wants to bend fully backwards at the wrist [

] Try playing the left hand keys without using the right hand[] use your left hand over and over again til you get it right, also it will train your left hand into pressing the right keys and in rythm. I know a little about reading music, ie. how many beats in a bar etc and crotchets and quavers etc when you get used to your left hand, it should become easier[]

]have ordered some books from library, one problem i have is i only have really hard stuff (well hard for me) to read from, reading it is ok but playing it is a different matter.
Barmy, independtly i can play my left hand more fluid than the right, but try it together and it goes pear shaped (a bit like everything else i get involved in)Cover your left eye with a patch and only look at your right hand whilst playing. Pianos are best played topless but watch out for the pedals trapping your bits!
