And bravery was required today!
I needed to do some work at one of our sites in London today. With everything I needed onsite I decided last night to leave the van and take the bike!
Expecting that it would be on the chilly side I dressed warm but nothing could really of prepped me for the shock of an ambient -1c at 6am this morning when I left the house.
Heated grips on full and me tucked up behind the double bubble it was a sodding long trip down to London. Although when I got into the big smoke the cold faded as I filtered through all the traffic!
Return trip was a similar affair with great fun filtering through traffic past the great sites on London followed by a long cold motorway jaunt back.
Considering my bike has been sitting in the garage since bsb at silverstone she didn’t miss a single beat. That said this is probably my last run this year as the winter starts to close in.
Here’s to hoping 2013 is an improvement!

October 28, 2012 at 4:00 pm #64582RadarModeratorBrave lad. I have used the FZ and YZF for commuting a few times in and of Brum recently and the time saving on the way home is startling…45 mins on a 25 mile journey…purely because I can filter. Good fun dusting off the old despatching skills now and again!
I will keep the bikes legal, but use will be very occasional for the next few months

Perversely, I do quite fancy a bit of mad filtering in London though and I can see why the adrenalin got pumping.

November 1, 2012 at 11:55 pm #64585RadarModeratorI had to ride through winters in the 1980’s early 90’s…it was hateful, especially on a KH250!
