BTW all, you can make your own flavoured oils by simply getting a fancy bottle decanter, or just use the bottle it came in; use some oil to drop the volume in the bottle then add your spices, e.g. I put black peppercorns, dried chile seeds and a couple of cloves of peeled garlic in the oil, this flavours it for your stir frys. Just keep topping the bottle up and put additional spices in when you use it all.

Scouser thanks for the handy tip. Last time I had stuffed vine leaves was when I was in Crete, but I’ve learned how to cook garlic potatoes.

I quite fancy trying japaneze food but dont like fish so i would not know what to order. best food of all has to be chinese

I`m going to a Japanese restaurant with the girls from work in a few weeks, you sit round a table and the foods cooked in front of you……. don`t in all honesty fancy it but will try anything once

I had sushi last year.. found it dissapointing. no taste to anything.
To “ERR” is natural.. to really fowl things up needs a politician!!

Had snails cooked the Spanish way a couple of weeks ago. Looked like snot, didn’t really taste of anything much.

One dish a colleague had was a large live fish laid flat on a wooden cutting board, with water flicked over it to keep it alive; then slices were taken off it in front of you!
